Overview
Executive Profile
Yanjun leads Quantum's environmental, social and governance (ESG) risk management, climate impact architecture and DFI compliance. She aligns early-stage site selection, community engagement and environmental assessment with the requirements of multilateral development banks and global institutional investors.
Her current mandate is embedding international sustainability standards across Quantum's asset lifecycle. Yanjun oversees environmental and social impact assessments and labour standards, ensuring every project complies with the relevant international standards. This also allows Quantum access to impact and green global finance.
She brings more than fifteen years of experience across climate philanthropy, renewable energy, industrial decarbonisation, corporate strategy and cross-sector partnerships in China, Indonesia and Singapore.
Before rejoining Quantum Power Asia, Yanjun served as Program Manager for China and Southeast Asia at the Sequoia Climate Foundation, where she managed a regional grant portfolio valued in the tens of millions of US dollars across approximately twenty organisations. Her work included climate and energy-transition strategy, investment and grant assessment, portfolio oversight, institutional partnerships and the development of coordinated regional initiatives. She also contributed to platforms including Bangkok Climate Action Week and the Asia Decade, working with philanthropic organisations, civil society, businesses and international institutions to advance shared climate priorities.
Yanjun previously worked with Quantum Power Asia during its early development as Head of International Partnerships. She supported the development and approval of Indonesia's first privately developed utility-scale solar project approved by PLN, while building relationships with Indonesian government stakeholders, PLN and renewable energy manufacturers in China. She subsequently held executive responsibility for operations, international partnerships and ESG programs at Apex Strategic Ventures, including work supporting major operational transformation and governance engagements across Asia Pacific.
She holds the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing and has completed professional development in decarbonisation strategy at the National University of Singapore. Yanjun is a native Mandarin speaker, works professionally in English and has working proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia. Her regional experience and her ability to align projects with the standards of governments, development banks and institutional investors support Quantum's work in developing responsible clean energy infrastructure that can access global green and blended capital.
