Expanding Capital Capability
Expanding Our Capital Capability with Quantum Capital Asia
Quantum Capital Asia is being established as the investment and capital platform supporting Quantum’s development of clean energy and strategic infrastructure across Asia Pacific. It is intended to provide a dedicated vehicle through which institutional capital can participate in projects developed by Quantum Power Asia and, over time, selected opportunities originated by third-party developers.
The platform will focus on financing, acquiring, owning and managing infrastructure assets with strong long-term fundamentals. Its initial focus will be clean energy, including utility-scale renewable generation, energy storage, industrial decarbonisation and related infrastructure. The mandate is intended to expand over time to other strategic infrastructure sectors, including water, where Quantum can apply the same development, investment and operating discipline.
Quantum Power Asia will act as the development and execution arm of the platform, originating opportunities, advancing projects through permitting and commercial structuring, coordinating technical development and supporting delivery. Quantum Capital Asia will provide the investment structure, capital relationships and governance needed to move suitable projects into construction, ownership and long-term operation.
This structure is intended to help close the development capital and governance gap that currently limits smaller developers and viable projects from reaching financial close. Quantum Capital Asia will seek to bring these elements together, allowing capital to be deployed across a diversified portfolio while supporting the consolidation and growth of high-quality infrastructure opportunities across the region.
