Lead the legal function of a giga-scale renewable energy business.

Quantum Power Asia is an Independent Power Producer developing giga-scale renewable energy projects across Asia. We accelerate the deployment of Solar PV clean energy through acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and greenfield developments, helping the region green its energy footprint and expand sustainable electrification.

We are seeking a highly skilled In-House Legal Counsel to advise the Managing Director and CEO, manage legal risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the growth of our renewable energy business. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned legal professional to shape the legal function of a leading player in the solar energy industry.

What you'll do

• Advise the Managing Director and CEO and provide legal support on board-level engagements.
• Draft and negotiate simple and complex contracts and provide markups on internal and third-party agreements.
• Advise on renewable energy and power generation regulatory frameworks across Asia.
• Manage legal matters across corporate, procurement, safety, security, insurance, compliance, and sustainability.
• Ensure compliance in all jurisdictions of operation, including licences and approvals.
• Collaborate with external law firms and joint venture partners to minimise reliance on external advice.
• Anticipate and manage legal risks tied to business strategy and operations.
• Support investor engagement and stakeholder relationships as required.

What we're looking for

• A law degree and relevant legal qualifications.
• Substantial in-house experience, preferably in the renewable energy industry.
• Strong knowledge of renewable energy and power generation frameworks, including IPP, MoU, LoI, JV, Shareholder, Loan, Construction and Supply, and EPC Agreements.
• Proven expertise in contract drafting and negotiation.
• Solid understanding of general business law, compliance, corporate governance, and ethics.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Fast learner, flexible, and able to respond quickly in a dynamic environment.
• Singapore work rights are essential. Employment Pass sponsorship is not available.
